GIVING BACK: BLKOUT & MISSION 22
Our Commitment
BLKOUT is a small independent wargaming company. We don't have the margins of a large publisher, and we're not pretending otherwise — but we believe that even small businesses have a responsibility to put something back.
That's why we commit 1.5% of net operating profit to charitable giving each year, with our primary partner being Mission 22 — an organization dedicated to veteran mental health, suicide prevention, and reintegration support.
How It Works
Our giving is tied directly to business performance. We calculate contributions from net operating profit — what the business actually earns after it pays its bills — and distribute quarterly estimates throughout the year, with a final reconciliation payment once the books close in December.
It scales with us. Better years mean larger contributions. Leaner years mean smaller ones. We think that's the honest way to do it.
Why Mission 22?
BLKOUT was founded by veterans and continues to be built by them. The culture, aesthetic, and community at the core of this game aren't borrowed from military tradition — they come from people who lived it. Supporting veterans in crisis isn't a marketing decision, it's personal. Mission 22 does direct, tangible work where it matters most, and that's exactly why they're our partner.
