BASIC CONCEPTS
Terrain & Unit Placement
Build Your Force
Pick a Force, grab three Unit Cards, and place your models on the table. Each Unit Card tells you everything you need — how far it moves, how well it shoots, and what it's carrying.
Set Up the Battlefield
Place terrain, pick a scenario, and choose your deployment edge. Then put your models down and play.
BASIC CONCEPTS
GAMEPLAY ACTIONS
1. Reposition
Move every model in your unit. Get into cover. Close distance. Set up your angles.
2. Act
Each model does one thing:
- Shoot — pick a target in range and line of sight, roll dice, deal damage
- Ready — prepare to react on your opponent's turn
- Sprint — move again instead of shooting
Players alternate activating units. You go, they go, back and forth until everyone has activated. That's a round.
BASIC CONCEPTS
REACTIONS
Models that haven't activated yet — or models that took a Ready action — can interrupt your opponent. Return fire when shot at. Overwatch a model that moves into your sights. Juke to duck into cover mid-shot.
The reaction system is what makes every activation a decision.
WINNING!
Scenarios set the win conditions — control objectives, eliminate units, extract a target. Most games run five rounds.
That's it. Everything else — data attacks, vehicles, smoke, explosives — is detail layered on top of this. The core loop never changes.
